Text Records

The textual records held by the Dundas Museum and Archives consist of archival material and reference material. Archival material is one of a kind and unique. Reference material comes from published sources and may be available elsewhere.

Archival material is arranged and described according to fonds which means all the records created and maintained by an individual, family, organization, or business. Once a fonds has been arranged and described, an inventory is created which researchers use to identify materials that might be useful to them.
