Put Victory First: Dundas Fights on the Home Front
Exhibition
 |
The World Wars of the 20th Century touched virtually every aspect of life at home. Everyone – of every age – did what they could to assure victory. ‘War effort is something, which is as microscopic in the unit as the individual, but as mighty in the sum total as an army.’
- Elsie MacGill, Canadian Aeronautical Engineer
This exhibit shares stories of men, women and children of the Valley Town: spurred on by patriotism and fully mobilized for the war effort in support of our soldiers engaged overseas. |

Dundas resident Bob
Henderson is a professor of Outdoor Education at McMaster. He
is also an author. His book, ‘Every Trail Has A Story’,
is a record of Bob, the traveler, as he captures our country’s
living history in its relationship to the land. He invites us
to imagine and participate. ‘Knowing the local stories about
where we live can help us live more meaningful lives there.’
Join Bob, at the Museum, as he shares with us the story of the
Dundas Portage. Hear of trails of our Dundas valley at the time
of the Neutral First Nations’ Confederacy, and explorers
LaSalle and Joliet. It will be a fascinating afternoon!
