About the Woodhouse Family History Collection

T. Roy Woodhouse was a local amateur historian and very much involved with the Dundas Historical Society, the predecessor of the Dundas Museum and Archives. Mr. Woodhouse compiled information about hundreds of families in Dundas, Ancaster, West Flamborough Township, and Beverly Township on cards, which are now housed in the Archives. We know that Mr. Woodhouse got this information from census records, assessment rolls, newspapers, church records, and, whenever possible, through interviews with family members. Unfortunately, he did not cite specific sources as he recorded the information.

This index lists in alphabetical order the family names found in the Woodhouse Family History Collection. Some families have much information about them and others have very little.
